Q: Couldn't we just get by with re-shingling the roof over the Old Sanctuary?

A: The roof over the Upper Room and the Old Sanctuary has gotten beyond the patch or re-shingle stage (please refer to the pictures on the Construction Update page). There needs to be some actual reconfiguration of the slope in several places for better water run off. Water collection areas need better and quicker drainage to assure water doesn't build up and then leak down the interior walls. The current plans of reconfiguration and reroofing will solve these decades long problems once and for all.

Q: Where is the Choir going to be?

A: The Choir can be located wherever they want to be, usually depending upon the Minister of Music's preference. The flexible seating gives the Choir lots of choices to be where they may present their musical talents.

Q: Where are the Organ's Pipes going to be located?

A: The organ's pipes will eventually be located up on the back wall of the balcony. Christopher Glenn, our Minister of Music, has studied this extensively and recommended to the Building Committee that the pipes be located there. The new location will give a superior sound to their present location. The cost of the relocation is currently not part of the current GFF remodel total cost, but will be one of the first additional projects we'll undertake in the future.
