We started on the outside, to keep out the elements.
This has been a problem since the '20s. Then we reconfigure the inside.

"Phase 1" - Reroof  - Stop the Leaks!!!

Phase 1
Reconstruction and renovation of the roofs over the "Old Sanctuary" & "Upper Room". Resolving years of leaking problems that have taken time and direction from our ministry in our neighborhood and our community.
This will include replacing the ancient skylights over the Upper Room, replacing 2 of the furnace chimneys with modern exhaust systems, changing the slope in some troubling areas where drainage is a problem, replacing the drainage areas with larger collection areas for quicker drainage and reshingling with a modern 30 year shingle.

Phase 2"
Expanding the Narthex and reconfiguration of the sanctuary for a more welcoming entry way into the church and a more flexible worship area. Pictures will be posted as the construction begins.

Keep in Touch - Stop by often!!

"Phase 3"

Further expand the Narthex to the north, moving the offices to the western end of the basement level, with expanded access to the office from Palatine.
The remodel of the basement will include a modernized kitchen for use by the daycare and the Soup Kitchen. The offices and reception area are handicapped-accessable from the Palatine entrance, too.
