The "Grow Faith Forward!"
Building Project encompasses
three parts of our church life:
If you don't find your answer there,
send us a note on the Contact Us page.
Stewardship of our Facilities:
- Replace/Rework the older roofs to stop decades of leaking problems.
This is the first thing we have to do and this is now done!!
see " The Roof Project " for links to pictures)
Remodel to make our church
more flexible and welcoming!
(Here's the new layout - there are before & after drawings below.)

Worship:
- Level the old chancel to one level. This will give us a nice stage for services
or performances.
- Individual Chairs enable many different seating configurations, the
one configuration above is just one example. Different seating
arrangements could be in-the-round, theater-style or fan (as shown),
to name just a few.
- Refurbish flooring, windows, paint and lighting in our Sanctuary.
- Move the organs pipes to the back wall of the balcony (this will be in the
future) - the console to stay on the sanctuary level, moveable for different
services. We'll run a large conduit now for connecting the console
(keyboard) to the pipes, in the future.
- The choir would be able to be located wherever they would like to
be, using the flexible seating.
Welcome:
- Expand our Narthex and reconfigure the entrance to our Sanctuary
so that we are more welcoming and inviting to members and
visitors. Lots of windows between the Narthex and the Sanctuary.
- Move the wheel chair lift and widen the stairway to the Upper Room to
increase accessibility for all to the Upper Room.
- Remodel and update our restroom facilities.

The WPPC Master Plan:
A “Master Plan” is a phased approach to remodel the church facilities in steps that complement each other and will assure that efforts aren’t duplicated along the way. The Master Plan gives us a final version where the project may end up as completed, though pieces of the projects may be changed as the projects progress along through the years.
The Master Plan was developed by Broweleit Peterson Hammer (BPH), an architectural firm in Lynnwood, selected by our Building Committee and engaged by Session. BPH also did the architectural work for the Upper Room remodel 14 years ago, which we all enjoy so much now! The Building Committee obtained information from the congregation as to how we currently use our building, how we’d like to use it in the future, whether it meets these needs, and if not, how it should be changed. We also addressed some major maintenance issues that are needed, including extensive re-roofing. This information was obtained through meetings with the Building Committee, the Session, as well as directly with the congregation. There were “town hall” type meetings, small group meetings, and questionnaires requesting feedback. BPH facilitated this process, compiled the information and organized it into the Master Plan.
Larger drawings for all of the phases of the Master Plan are available from the church office.
